Cassy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with a Supervision designation (LPCC-S), licensed in both Ohio and Kentucky, specializing in the treatment of sexual dysfunction, sexual pain, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex PTSD, and mood disorders.
Cassy has a particular interest in the intersection of sexual dysfunction and trauma and the impacts that have on a person’s well-being and relationships. Additionally, Cassy provides couples counseling to couples struggling with desire discrepancy, communication issues, and the impacts of sexual dysfunction on the relationship.
Cassy’s specialties reflect the lived experiences and the healing work she has done herself. Cassy believes that the relationship between the therapist and client is the most sacred part of the therapeutic process and is at the core of the healing work. She is sex-positive, trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+/kink/BDSM-friendly, and practices from an anti-racist and feminist perspective. She advocates for social justice and human rights and wholeheartedly believes in the values of inclusion, cultural competency, and nonjudgmental empathy. Cassy operates from an attachment-based, trauma-informed lens when treating clients and frequently utilizes EMDR to assist in processing past events.
